Service and process
Who is this service for?
It is designed for adults living with overweight or obesity. It is not a paediatric service and it is not suitable for everyone. A clinician reviews each person individually.
Do I need to choose a medicine before I start?
No. You start with an assessment. A prescriber decides with you whether a medicine is appropriate, and may recommend a different next step.
What happens to my information?
It will be used to support clinical review and to meet legal and clinical record-keeping duties. Using your information for care is separate from marketing. This foundation does not collect consultation answers.
Is my information used for marketing?
No. Care information and marketing consent are kept separate, and marketing never receives your clinical answers or account health status.
Treatment
What is the difference between Mounjaro and Wegovy?
They contain different active ingredients and act at different receptors. Both are weekly injections. See the treatments comparison for licence-level information; a prescriber decides which, if either, is appropriate.
Can I switch between medicines?
Switching is a clinical decision. A prescriber reviews your history, side effects and current dose before any change is made.
Will I lose weight?
Outcomes vary between people and are not guaranteed. Treatment is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and goals usually focus on health and function as well as weight.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
Current starting-dose totals for a four-week cycle are Wegovy 0.25 mg at £109 and Mounjaro 2.5 mg at £154. Treatment and pricing are reviewed monthly and may change based on clinical assessment and medication dose.
Does seeing a price mean I will be prescribed a medicine?
No. A displayed price does not guarantee that a medicine will be prescribed; prescribing depends on clinical assessment, and a different next step may be recommended.
Will the price change at higher doses?
Pricing is reviewed monthly and may change based on clinical assessment and medication dose. The total at a higher dose may therefore differ from the starting-dose prices shown.
Account
Do I need an account?
Not to read this information. An account will be needed later to save a consultation, view decisions and manage your care. Account creation is not enabled at foundation stage.
Is sign-in working yet?
No. The login, registration and account pages are architectural placeholders. They contain no patient data and cannot be used to sign in.
What will my account show?
Tasks and care status first: outstanding checks, consultation history, messages, treatment decisions and next review. Payment and orders will be kept as a separate operational area.
